This fish is far from finished. If you look closely at the sumi, you could be taking a big risk, in that this fish is very young and the chances of the sumi being mature is doubtful. This fish could actually change quite a bit from what you see today. Look to the sumi that is on the shiroji and look for deep insertion of the black under the white scales. That's the adult sumi. If it appears thin and there isn't any insertion, chances are, it will go away and make way for the adult sumi later. Changes in tosai showa and utsuri can be quite dramatic. Keep us posted on it's development at the end of the growing season. Would really like some comparision pics to look at.
