| pressurized filters
I have a 500 gallon pond with 4 Koi approx. 15" each. My current pump, pre-filter and a tiny Fishmate gravity bio/uv filter s@ck. I`m cleaning both filters every other day. I`m thinking about switching to a Cyprio Titan 1450 solid handling pump with no pre filter needed and a pressurized bio filter with UV that will feed my foam preformed waterfall. Will a pressurized filter for a pond up to 1000-200- gallons handle this fish load? I use all of the Microbe-lift products to keep the water nice and clean, I`m just sick of cleaning undersized filters. Will a 1450gph pump going through something like a Bioforce 2000 filter be flowing too much water for this sized pond? How much does a pressurized filter cut down on the pump flow? Should I go with a pressurized filter with the backflush option?
