imo, vacuum is something should be done inside the house to help out the spouse/parents. sticking the long pipe with hose into the pond and disturb the fish on regular basis is not the idea of good koi keeping practice. I tried to care/raise my fish with little human impact.

just want to clarify something. apologize in advance because this is not directing at anyone. stupid means one doesn't know any better which is not in this case. ignorant is knowing the differences but refuse to learn.
