Over the three decades I have been in the hobby, I have tried new foods to learn and see results but always come back to hikari. I feed their sinking exclusively in the winter, floating in the spring. I think it's a dependable/reliable product.

There are several of us on this board who have purchased various koi from toshio to monitor and learn from as they grow. I'm hopeful you might be convince to post some pics and commentaries. Dan Olson who posts here is working on an article for koi USA on what amounts to 2 ea of sanke and showa... a,aa,aaa quality now starting on their second year. We also have a tategoi in the mix so we can really learn. It's been a fun adventure and not even half over.

I found a sakai matsunosuke gin sanke tosai that i couldn't resist at a local dealers. I know what's gonna happen with the skin, so even tho the pattern is no world beater, it will be a nice koi. I really love his matsunosuke gin koi!
Any come with your bunch?
