| Any PP treatment feeding guidelines, can't find them.
Hey, I was wondering if any one knew or used any specific feeding guidelines while in the midst of a PP treatment. I can not find anything on feeding during treatment, not even from our fav Koi vet, not on the net at least. Only not to taint the food with the active PP.
I am trying to use my PA here and think of my Koi not only as patients, but as human patients right now. If I had a chemo patient, in the midst of a chemo tx, I would only give IV, necessary fluids and not feed as to not waste energy digesting when they need it to heal.
Should I assertain holding off feeding until the PP treatment is done, until I have the 6 hours of pink/purple water? This was my 1 st tx of PP today, and it took only 8 min. only to turn to tea color. Very dirty, and I cleaned all organics I could and bypassed filter. I have regular food and the medicated ones, I guess I will use the medicated ones, can't hurt, just not sure if I should wait, or if they need the food. I know one thing, and not to taint the food with the active PP, will be toxic, is it safe or recommended to feed tom. in the AM BEFORE next PP tx? Just want to do what is best for them. I got my PP from my local pond shop and I did not get the wonderful guide Dr. Johnson has, they did not have them, but I found them on the net and used the PP accordeing to the guidelines.
Thanks,
Carrie
