l113892 : Hmmm...actually, i determine he from her side head (what is it called ?) If you touch it and you feel a 'grainy' skin, it will be probably a male, but if it is not, it will be female...this is not a very accurate way, but works 80% for me.
dcny : To tell you the truth, i'm preparing her for a show in one month time. Even then, i am not sure wether she'll be ready for it as there are still some unfinished sumi. Yet, i think she deserved a clean water treatment for a while. Anyway, how long does Japanese breeder put their koi inside their mud pond ? If i'm not mistaken it is about 6 months right ?
For breeder, this is locally breed (F1 from Japanese Oyagoi). I am betting with the my dealer who sold off this sanke to me, i bet this sanke will reach 80cm. If there any possibility for it to go beyond 80cm ? Coz, so far here in Indonesia, it is very hard to find a good gosanke locally breed koi who reach 80cm+.
