Is she now aka nissai at 67cm? Wow! I'm going to Sakai in October...I've got to get me a Sanke from Big Rose too!! Which line is good for kohaku then?? I'll be shopping for 2 and 3 year olds, Sakai (Hiroshima)

Erns, It is slighty over 2 years old, so it is Aka Sansai like PPP said. My friends and I are planning on going to Sakai as well late October...maybe we will bump into each other fighthing over Big Rose Sanke! Although Hi, Sumi and shiroji is very good on better offsprings of Big Rose, the Sumi shape and placement is yet to be established.

JR, I have heard often of Sakai Isawa Pink Beni but have not seen it in person. Does the Hi on my Sanke qualify as Pink Hi? For the kind of quality that I would like to have, I dont think I am prepared to pay for a Sakai Isawa. I remembered meeting a group of ducth hobbyist at Nagaoka Station. They were showing us photos of their purchases from Isawa. Kois that will not impress those not in the know and said" Aka Sansai, very cheap only 3 Million Yen !"

Fukarin, I like Sankes that have delicate sumi markings too but it is not easy to find. So I had to take a bet of this Sanke with hardly any sumi. When She arrived, only the sumi at the tail remained! I was joking to my firends that I have a 2 jewels in this koi. From the front she is a beautiful Kohaku and from the back a beautiful Sanke But now, the Sumis are beginning to appear; small specks though..
