Marine worms, the ragworm, the hairy worm, (Nereis virens) or polychaete worms are an interesting story. A University in the UK seem to have come up with a good idea. By utilising the waste heat-energy water from power stations they have developed marine worm farms. Prized by fishermen and the aquaculture industry, the ragworm is the talk of the campus ...even getting the Queen's Award of all things. I think more important then all the cell regeneration talk is the fact these worms are nutritionally correct...a balance of polyunsaturated fatty acids or highly nutritious.
Maybe one of our UK friends could send us some, would like to try it! Plus I live next to a Nuclear power plant. It is called 'Turkey Point'. We could re-name it to 'Hairy Worm Landing'.
