| It's always fun to speculate about who the judges are and what they like etc etc, but bottom line is you need to show your koi when they are ready. I think we americans don't get this as well as the japanese and europeans do.
Your female is in transistion and I'm not sure it would be in both your interest ( hers and yours) to put her thru the stress of a show right now .
You do however learn from participating and there is value there. Your males are at a size where they will not be able to compete with females much longer, so why don't you consider taking them both and learning from the experience.
