    Holland Koi Show August 21 22 23

So of all things a friend gave me a voucher for a free airplane ticket to one of 12 cities and Amsterdam is one of the destinations and it must be used by August 31 (he has had it for 10 months and he said he can't use it before it goes bad.)...he got the voucher for opening a savings account.
So now I have this voucher in my lap....i don't even know if it will get me to Amsterdam really but I did call the Promotion company and it does seem like it is a valid offer and the representative said it was an open and valid voucher and that I did not have to be the Person on the savings account to use it.
    So here i sit...
nearly penniless and with the opportunity of a lifetime...
So i am going to attempt to go to the Koi Show... I imagine i can find cheap enough food and transportation...
But i was wondering if anyone has any Hotel Floor space they won't be using? I have to believe that the thing that would put the biggest crunch on my wallet would be a place to sleep.
i do not smoke and very rarely snore... and in person i actually play nicely with others.
So if anyone feels charitable..... and has an un-utilized bed ...Eugeneg? Brutuscz?
    As always...ladies first
I hope the missus isn't up to snooping about today....

Since you are open to someone's un-used floor space, have you considered hostels or some of the hotels that cater to backpackers? I remember seeing plenty of them in Amsterdam.

I agree with your assessment - if you have the airfare covered - then your biggest expense will be lodging. Food is very reasonable - lots of good cheese, bread and beer. Their public transportation is excellent.

Bringing new tosai home might be a b&*$^ though.

    Luke,

The koi show is in a small town called Arcen just outside of a city called Venlo. Venlo has a train station.

Amsterdam airport has a train station too.

So lookout for accom in the Arcen/Venlo area.
