I am in the same situation as you. I have been told, in no uncertain terms, that under the ZNA rules, a pond builder is considered "professional". I've stopped fighting the issue even though I don't see the corolation between building ponds and having a personal collection of koi and wish to compete as an amateur. The bottom line is this: IF YOU SELL DRY PRODUCTS OR INSTALL PONDS, INCLUDING FILTERS AND OTHER EQUIPMENT, YOU ARE CONSIDERED BY ZNA RULES TO BE A PROFESSIONAL!! If you would like to pm me to ask any further info, feel free to do so. Mike Perret | |

| K D S D . . . Every one has an opinion. You were told to contact Don K. and/or Chai T. (the ZNA SoCal President and Show Chair) if you wanted an answer to your question. You were given their email addys. You were told they make and enforce the rules. Have you contacted them? 'Cause everything else is an opinion and worth what you paid for it -- which is exactly nothing. Again. |
