    Mid Atlantic Koi Clubs 2008 Show Sept 12-14th

    The Mid Atlantic Koi Club's 2008 show in Westminster, MD. Sept 12-14th
    is starting to really take shape. The show will again be held at the Carrol County AG Center, but the banquet has been moved to a more up scale venue that last year.

    Wayne Orchard and Susan Boland are handling vendors

    Peter Ponzio and I have agreed to Co-Chair the MAKC's 20th annual Koi Show. We are honored to announce a combined AKCA and ZNA judging team this year. Our distinguished Head Judges are Charles Phelps of the AKCA and Robert Johnson of the ZNA. Assisting in the Judging will be Alan Stein of the ZNA and Tom Ayers of the AKCA.

    We will also have the honor of Henry Culpepper (AKCA) and Dick Thomas (ZNA) working to help complete their Judging Candidacy Programs.

    Art and Nicole Lembke are proud to Chair the Fourth annual MAKC Goldfish Show. They are proud to announce that Bay Bateman of the AGA will be judging the Goldfish.

    To add to our list of distinguished persons the MAKC is proud to announce the Vicky Vaughn has agreed to host a wet lab on Saturday. Grab a seat as soon as they are available, because the will fill QUICKLY.

    The show rate for the local hotels expires on August 12th, you only have 3 days left to reserve your rooms at the promotional cost.

    The banquet will be held at the Best Western.

    American Koi Breeders Association Show - During the Koi Judging there will be tank side chats with representatives from the Koi Farms participation. They will highlight their farms, breeding programs, bloodlines and future plans. This is a great chance to meet the American Breeders who are striving create the Living Jewels of tomorrow.

    New Show for 2009?

    I work for Atlantic City Hotels and we have a Koi Pond in one of them. I am very interested in finding out more about these beautiful, peaceful fish.

    I would suggest logging onto www.akca.org You should be able to find a club near you where you can attend meetings and learn more about our wet pets.
