Prices of koi depends on dealer and the rep of the dealer. People should understand what is shown to them and ask questions on a fish. The problem with people is that they have a itchy trigger finger and dont research a potential purchase.

I realize this thread is quite old, but can you direct me to a picture of the dadfish, I'm kinda curieus?!

Koi here are of much lesser quality here but cost $10 for decent pond qualities. If you walk down Xian aquarium markets you will find amazing small koi from street vendors for much cheaper.

Street vendors?... Hotdog!!!.... You wont find that here... It's a koi ghost town, here..... If you want koi in Pittsburgh, you have to hunt for the ones on the outer shell of PA or the internet....

I know two dealers in PA... But, they are nowhere near Pittsburgh... Shipping costs are between 12.00 and 90.00....

With most dealers in Florida or California....

Very little koi stuff here either. That is why I envy anyone living around Xian.

I do not like the koi being sold in these pet stores.... They are not "pond quality"... They are starving..... I feel bad for them...
