Posting pictures

Hi Folks,

Am toying around with the idea of making this board capable of picture attaching. What that means is that instead of uploading your pics elsewhere and then typing in the URL to it from within your message post, that you will be able to "attach" the image just like you would in an email message.

So...what are your thoughts? I've created a poll to try at as well to gauge your responses.

Brian

I voted for 'doing it all in one place' as i think this makes it easier for the masses.

I'd have to say I agree Mark! Let's see what everyone else has to say though...

Presumably it will still be possible to link directly to images elsewhere on the web as well and this will just offer direct FTP from users machine?

Based on that response I've voted for the 'all in one' option.

BTW I found the html/bbcode tag prompts on the Post a reply page very useful. A nice idea.

Merry Christmas one and all.

Brian: I've never posted a pic because simply too confusing with a Mac at home, a PC at the office (tight controls on uploads) etc. But I did email pics once to someone else for posting. If you can get it down to my level of incompetence, I'm sure anyone could do it.

I am 'uneducated' in using computers/internet. So, like MikeM, I agree to opt for the simplest method possible. Since I have a scanner, maybe you can find a way to get pictures from scanner as well.

Brian,

Like many others, I'm not too good at the computor stuff. If you can create something as easy as exists on KoiChat, which is easy to use, then great. The KoiChat only problem is with larger sized pictures (sorry Mark), so if you can get around that as well, I'm sure lots more pictures will get posted.

Brian - I just voted for doing from one place. That would surely allow everyone the ease of sharing photos. Keep up the good work!
