Hi Dick,
Here is proof that some of the fry from my Kohaku spawning did indeed turn out Kigoi.
Also in the Koi-Bito DVD Mr Maeda is sorting some tosia from a bowl with some Kigoi amongst them. Where did these Kigoi come from,where they bred from Kigoi or were they a biproduct of Kohaky spawning? :?:
Some of these Kigoi measured over 30cm and are 4 months and 2 weeks old. See pick where one is hold by a friend who helped.

Hey thanks for the pic! my understanding is kigoi were developed from asagi but hey genetics is an interesting study. nice body shape on the koi
and hang on to that one and we'll see if it changes. thanks for thinking of me. I have an ochiba that ocassionally throws a kigoi as well so I quess you learn while doing!
