But it's worth the wait ... the latest Rinko (English version) has a nice article on Momotaro and his Mako bloodline. .... Hmmmm ... seems I already read most of that info somewhere else, and no translation issues!

Issue #7 went to print today. The first of them should start to arrive in about another 2 weeks.

Some good news for all of you: I've made the decision that producing a magazine is too much work for one person, especially one that is already gainfully employed. It's always a tough when deciding to invest more money into an endevour, but I feel that it's truly worth it in order to develop the magazine to it's full potential. I feel that the decision to assemble a team to divide up the work makes much more sense, and also makes the workflow and delivery much more consistent. You'll notice a much more accelerated schedule through the Winter until we're all caught up.

I originally started the magazine as am experiment in objectively showing the koi world as it exists in Japan. Needless to say, I didn't hound sponsors as I didn't want the magazine to take on too muc of a commerical bias. I think in the future though, that you will find the right mix of sponsors supporting us to help bring our readers what they want every issue.

That all being said, Issue #8 will be an Asagi special issue...complete with an in-depth interview with Hosokai, and also a special feature with Mr. Tautsuo Ozawa also on Asagi, whom you already know from his "reading tosai" article. Part III of that article will also be in issue #8 as well.

Issue #9 is going to have a special interview that I know you'll all be dying to read, to get the straight dope on a very important development in the koi world that happened many years ago, but still has much impact today. Sorry, I have to keep that under wraps for now though!

As always, thanks to you all for your support and patience.
