1. Objectives

To assemble nishikigoi from domestic and worldwide hobbyists, breeders, dealers in a single venue in order to appreciate the diligent efforts undertaken in their rearing. Furthermore, the show will facilliate the exchange of keeping technology, admiration, and knowledge to improve the discernment of superb nishikigoi. It is also the goal to promote the expansion of the hobby as well as international friendship.

3. Supported by: The Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries Ministry, The Tokyo Metropolitan Government, Niigata Prefecture

5. Session breakdown

Duration: Wednesday February 9th through Sunday the 13th (5 days)

Set-up: Feb. 9th, 8am to 6pm
Vendor reception: Feb 9th, from 1pm

Assignment of Duties Meeting (or set-up assistance):
Feb. 9th, 3 to 6pm

Benching: Feb. 10th, 9am to 4pm

Judges Reception: Feb. 11th, 8:30 to 9am
Judges Assembly: Feb. 11th, 9 to 9:30am
Judging: Feb. 11th, 10am to 5pm

Subdivision Heads Meeting: Feb. 11th, 5:30 to 6:30pm

Opening to the General Public (Sat): Feb. 12th, 8:30am to 5pm

Brian, thanks for the early info. I am going to start building up my budget for next year AJNPA. The last time I was in Japan(about 4 mths ago) I blow up my budget several times over. No matter how I restraint myself to stick to my budget, there is always those "must get koi or go home disappointed & regret if I don't buy."
Those fellows I bought last trip are now in the care of my koi dealer till I have enough knowledges,experiences,bigger,better pond etc then I'll bring them home.

Kindly update if there's any changes. Thanks.
