I think the feature I like best is the raised lip so that anywhere you want to sit and visit with the koi you have a seat readily available!

Thanks for the posting the pics!

feel free tyo include pictures of your beautiful koi next time!

P.s.

Doesn B. Scott look devilishly "normal" now!

Tom,
Kevin's place is about 45 miniutes south of where I live. I will be in Corona this week for a couple of days. What day are you coming up? I will be back here on Friday. If possible, If you have time, I would like to come and see your pond this week. If you are coming to Kevin's on Friday, I can meet you there and take you on a mini pond tour of Brentwood. There are some great ponds that have been built here in town and I'm sure you will enjoy them.

Cool Concrete finish method/material

Tom,

Is that a Bomanite concrete finish on your pond coping? Architecturally we use Bomanite a lot for vehicle surfaces, driveways, porte cocheres, car showrooms. I'll have to say that this is the first time I saw this application on perimeter coping. Very resourceful, great texture. Thanks again for sharing.

Sorry guy's I should have made it a little more clear. Stamped it them pattern on the concrete. The reason for the coping like this was to have the edges fish safe. I have seen a few real nice koi get damaged from shape rocks used a coping.

Now that I have you reading this you want to cry? This as the day of all days. The day before they were going to spray the gunite we had a little rain. Well not a little bit of rain, we had about 6" in 12 hours. Boy did that mess up things.

This is on the back side of the pond. I lost about 15' of it, and it went back about 5'

This is the front side of the pond. About another 12' on this side.

As you can see it was a lot of work to clean it up. It took about three weekends to do it

Jeff it will be over the weekend that I go to Kevin's. I'm hoping this weekend. I will let you know. Are you drive down to Corona? We are just a few munites off of the 5 in Valencia.

Goldfish expert? Maybe, but I can see you being a great koi judge someday. It was shocking how much you knew about koi, breeders and on and on.

I just sent you a PM, so when you have the time let me know. If I'm around when you come down, your more than welcome to stop by. I'm hoping to make it back up to Kevin's this weekend to pick up my other Kohaku. First I need to find out tomorrow what days I work next week. I might have to start work on Sunday and I would have to make it another time.
