Keo all I can say I'm glad I went to the bath room before reading this. I think it would have came out from laughing so hard.

Sorry, I thought that was more jokes on my speckled koi. I figured everyone know my specs by now...

Still wanting mud ponds. I think I could get buy with 1 acre parcel right now with 3 or 4 smaller mud ponds on it. Say 70x70 each.

Here's my current system (upgrades happen almost every year). 20,000 total gallons. Upper pond 25x45x6' deep (3' average depth). Lower pond 6x14x32" deep. System circulated by two 4400gph sequence 1000 pumps.
First pump draws water from lower pond, pushes it up to the millpond. Water flows down the stream, overflows upper pond, flows down lower stream, then through underground piping to the double waterfalls and back to lower pond.

Second pump draws water from gravity fed filter system. Consisting of three 200gallon passive settling chambers, and then one 300 gallon horizontal filter. Pushes water up to behind the millhouse. Water flows back down stream to pond.

I am planning on a major overhaul in 2005. Gonna make the main pond bigger and deeper. Lower pond bigger and deeper. Gonna turn the shed into a Japanese style koihouse for overwintering koi (currently they are in my basement).
