Young koi in new home

Moved my keepers from march spawning to their new home yesterday. They seem to be enjoying all of the new current as well as the added leg room.

Some nice looking ones in there, but I sense a koikeeper with a soft heart. Why keeping the benigoi?

Hey Mike,

The 50 or 60k fry that were culled since March might disagree with u LOL. Several of the benigoi are kept for R&D purposes and the other handfull are for
a customer.

Merry Christmas, Kiefer

Merry Christmas Ian and Terri

Will try to get closer pics after the holidays. The old ball and chain is running me ragged with holiday preperations. Seems like I enjoyed the holiday season much more when I was a kid

Cheers, Kiefer

Thumbs up

Hello Kiefer,
congratulations, you have got some nice Tosai in that group. What you said about having culled 50-60 K fry so far gives an overall idea of the amount of work involved...
I guess you will have to cull or better give away or sell some more in a few months. Will you keep on breeding this next season, won't you?
I already started planning and preparing things for the next breeding season.
Merry Christmas for you and your family!
All the best,

Really good to hear from u Diego. Hope all is well. There will most likely be more cullings. Many of these are spoken for. Some I am keepeing to further study their development.

Will be doing a few selective spawnings next spring. Am looking forward to it.
Will send u a pm later with a few interesting pics u may enjoy.

Feliz navidad y un ano nuevo lleno de koi, Kiefer
