Carl:

My current bill is $200.43 for the last 2 month period... $107.68 for water and 92.75 for sewer charges... You can get a permit from the Board of water to install a second meter (you purchase and install, they inspect) if you show that you're watering your yard with your pond water... In my case, constant water change, this should add up to substantial savings because, as you know, the sewer charges are based on the water useage...

Aloha! Mike

Mike,
What kind of permit is this? What does the second meter identify? Is it allowable to water my ti leaf and banana trees in my drainage ditch? Haha just asking?

Hi Akai-San

I pump my waste as my filtration is below graound level, all i do is open a valve to one of the vortex units (depending on what one i doing) and the water will trikle because of the water level being above the ground but on issolating the bottom drain i then have a lower head so i pump around the garden to my waste at the flick of a switch all done and the waste water dropped in seconds.
