Actual Photo of GC at the Show

I beleive this showa has been entered in the show for 3 or 4 years now.
It finally gets recognition.

I love showa! Check out the Champion on Maruyama's website(http://www.kagura-beni.jp/index.htm) It's a little outdated, but we
can see the transformation to greatness. Congratulations to Maruyama Fish Farm!

Hi Folks,

Back from the show now and have plenty of pics. I'm exhausted and it's late, so we'll put them up for you all tomorrow.

for those who went to the show I would be interested in hearing what you saw.
More fish this year? Less? More of one color variety than past years. How did the earthquake affect the show. were those niigata breeders in attendance?
I always like to get a "feel" for a show especially for those with experience from previous one to compare to!

Hi Nico,

The photo that you posted of the GC is one that myself and two other parties hold copyright claim to. May I ask where you got it from?

Thanks Nico,

The first one is obviously a reproduction from either KB/Gekkan/Rinko or possibly another magazine. While I support people's enthusiasm for posting pics on the forums, we have to understand and respect the original photographer and those who own or have obtained reproduction rights. For a magazine, photography is it's bread and butter, and unauthorized reproduction hurts us in that people are using for free something that costs money...either in time/money invested in staff for photography, or in monies paid to obtain th rights for reproduction and resale. I just hope that folks can keep these things in mind, and what it takes to produce these photos originally. Publishing them on the web without permission cheapens their value to those that support their production in the first place.

I'm not blaming you at all, you've only posted something that you found posted already. I also know that Danny wouldn't do anything to harm anyone's business either. Both he and Michelle are top-class koi folks, so perhaps he's gotten permission from elsewhere. Let's just mark it up to "enthusiasm".

Anyone know what Sakai Hiroshima bloodline the Kohaku is from? Benibana? Rose? Nice Kohak, I think I am more impressed with the Kohak than the Showa...Just call me a Kohak kind of guy...
