Kohaku Babies. Advice on culling needed

Tail stop on #3 looks thicker on the left side. Is this just because of the picture angle, or is it actually thicker? Ive seen some of my fry with this, and wonder if its genetic, or because of a TPR that is working only one side?

Hi Hwong, Baby 2 has your name on it. Beautiful body and this is the one I have hopes that she will be able to reach 80cm. Beni a bit thin for the moment becos of the great growth rate. I have nothing to worry as she has good quality beni.

In heat already? "Infected" by the owner? Need to give my Rose a rest. Shall try this August.

Hi Gregbickal, That "abnormality" you saw is an optical illusion. Her body is alright in true life. What was the cause of the abnormalities seen in your kois?

Mike, I forgot to comment on your expectation on Baby 7. There may be some truth in what you saw. The bulge we can see may be becos I am feeding them 9x/day and this gluton eats away like the world is coming to an end. The tail tube I agree is satisfactory. Am seriously considering putting her into my FG tank for a period of enforced fasting. Can that be considered as cruelty to animals (koi in this case)?

Netted the "babies" 4 days shy of their first birthday to document their growth. Not much difference since last month :

Baby 2 is now 51cm (last month was 48)
Baby 3 is 45cm (last was 44)
Baby 4 is 45cm (last was 44)
Baby 7 is 44cm (last was 43)

Nothing much has changed in the photos and hence decided not to post them. Decided to do quarterly review from here.

The offsprings has the characteristics of good quality kois. Especially the Shiro and the Hi.
