Close-up?

Hi Keo,

Do you have a close-up photo of this Sanke's shoulder area, or a close pic of the skin & scales around the dorsal area?

Best Wishes,
Brady

When it comes to faces I look at em from a technical standpoint. No crooked showas. width of eyes. distance between eye and nose and eye and gill flap.

color of eye seare on what looks like a kohaku with shimmie. (might be sanke)

but I quess what I love is the pattern itself which creates the personality.

In my asagi or shusui they better have red gill plates with donut holes in the center and a good red circle around the eye. I can't stand alledged "tancho" asagi/shusui but don't mind kuchibeni.

I think I've come full circle on this. I used to like a face for a face. then all I cared about was show standard. now i'm back to a face is a face. Anything that gives a koi personality. When it comes to showa or kohaku I';m a big sucker for panda eyes

and yes thank-you Brady for your postings!

The first 2 are at Marudo, the last one at Shintaro. The Shintaro one is my favorite.

Koi in first pic looks very sad then I took a look at the koi packed in bags and I realized why koi #1 looked so sad. Man what are you doing to the koi? How about when you bag um give um a little room. The look scared to death man. I dont think I would like to be packed into a plastic bag with a # of people like that. You are going to hurt the koi handleing them that way. Did you know that you can break their backs by doing this and not only that you dammage the fins on the koi, and if you break their backs well the koi is no good anymore. I have one koi that I broke his back by netting him and it made me sick. I still have him and I take very good care of him. Please think about what you are doing to the koi from what I saw the koi are very nice koi and I would hate to see them hurt because of something that you did.
