Koi faces,...

Do you lot spend much time looking at Koi faces? The overall facial shape, the distance between the eyes,... the length of the snout,... the distance from the tip of the nose to the shoulder,... the bone structure,... the coloration,... the overall impression,... it's an area of a Koi I can spend hours looking at.

Anyone have any photos of Koi faces to share?

This is the youthful face of a Nisai Showa,... at 18 months,... notice the sumi beginning to emerge through the white of the nose,... also the clarity in the eyes.

Best Wishes,
Brady Brandwood

Hairy faces,...

The face of the angry Possum,... P.O.'ed because he got caught stealing Koi food. He was harassed for a little while, then released.

Hi Brady,

Nice Thread! How does a Torazo type compare to Sadazo. Can you provide a visual comparison?

Cheers,

Ah, Brady. Great to have you drop by with a different approach to koi appreciation. Yeah, the faces matter.
