Thumbs up The 23rd All-Japan Wakagaoi Show

Amid speculation that the Wakagoi show would be cancelled this year due to logistical problems in the aftermath Chuetsu earthquake, a tentative decision has been made to go ahead and carry on with the show as normal.

Rather than in Ojiya as the trend has been for the past few years, the venue will shift this year to Tokyo, and location in which the show will be held has been narrowed down to 3 potential spots.

I'll keep you posted as updates unfold.

Thanks Brian for keeping us up on things. That's the first I heard and i'm glad they will still have have it! nothing is more settling than to see something lost.
Rather have it in a different venue than not see it be held at all. Besides we need lift of the spirits that this show being held will bring!

Last half of April. Firm dates haven't been officially released yet, but it's usually the 3rd weekend of April.

I asked him about that in the past -- wanted him to bring it to the CKC show actually. But the Avatar did well in Gardena already and is now basically retired.

Maybe he'll bring some of them funny lookin' little Momo-watsits that your fish beat at the last CKC show...
