Deep orange, yellow head with deep orange Tancho spot

Hi guys, I want to know what these two koi are. This past spring I had a mass spawn in my pond resulting in two very nice koi. They are deep orange with a very bright yellow head with a deep orange Tancho spot smake dab in the middle of thier heads, both gill plate are this deep orange color.

Will if I hold on to these two koi and spawn them back will they produce more of these koi. I wanted to give this a try and see what I can come up with.

I have seen Doitsu Kin Ki Utsuri at Miyatora. Similar, but not quite a red as the one you posted.

Yes Bob I do like the koi and the second pic looks the best. What kind of koi is it. I wish I could take a pic and post but they are only about 4 inches and the pond is very cold and cannot disturb them. Doitsu What? Hi Utsuri

Can anybody tell me what my two are? The whole body is deep orange the head is bright yellow and the Tancho spot is the same color as the body. The deep orange is also on gillplate.

KFG: Dr. Kuroki would have created a descriptive name as unique as the koi... say, Sunshine Tapestry, but in Japanese. You are safe to call them Kawari. ..... They sound like attractive koi for the ornamental pond, but please do not breed them. Save your space for a new adventure, not repetition of past _________.

Yes I only have two of these koi and if something happens well then I wont have any, but you are right I will save the space for a new adventure. Wont be anymore spawning in my main pond if I can help it . I have tons of koi in the pond and have got to get rid of them. I will be moveing most to a mud pond this spring.

Can anyone tell me where I can get my hand on a momotaro kohaku for a parent koi. I wont to find one before spring. Keirin Koi does not keep to many male koi and wanted to see if I could find one someplace else.

Genki Nishikigoi carries many Momotaro koi out here on the west coast. Likely that Kevin has a male around somewhere but equally likely it is not of breeding age.

If Momo is the way you want to go, you'll hafta beg for something local. Ask around your koi club. Maybe you'll find the best male in your area isn't a Momotaro...

It is a Maruyama, and also very good for parent stock. That particular koi has some demerits that would not let it do well in a show but the stock still looks excellent for breeding, in my humble opinion.
