10 000 posts? Mmmmh......I thought I feel there were only 1000! It shows that this board is very interesting to read and follow. On boring board, 1000 posts will be like 10 000! Thanks to Brian and all who have contributed to his forum. We will have another 10 000 soon.

Hi all, for the record! ( and since I take great pride in the names I give the other boards---) It was I who came up with the "deadwood" title! It was 'designed' for Newt's board, which I got tired of calling 'the porno board' ( I think that one was mine or Lansings?) and because the personalities and whole town theme there reminded me of that HBO show! And for the record, I like old Newt! Just like to kid him about the rather colorful cast and focus he has populated that board with. The Deadwood II name must have been a variation of the original and I have no idea of its' origin?

Other nicknames?

'The other Parish' - koi vet of course, and still a favorite I take full and complete credit for naming! LOL It was so perfect for the time.

" the Knights of NI' - wish I had thought that one up! No, that credit goes to Luke the Impaler. Great sense of humor, very sick mind, that boy!

' The Roarkian site' - lets face it, the guy evokes nothing but respect. So
the nickname is perfect.

' Bito' - never heard another name for this site? I think of it as one of my top three. And also enjoy the magazine very much- cover to cover.

" Stephenville" - I think it reflects the ownership identity and is to be respected if for no other reason than the commercial aspect is way in the back seat-in fact not even in the picture! Truely privately funded with no ulterior motives in mind that I can see. The focus gets a little fuzzy because it is a very 'mixed' community board. But lively and most of the folks have a good appetite for learning ,albeit limited depth regarding the Japanese center of Nishikgoi culture.

All and all, there must be a board for everyone's taste and level in the hobby. JR

quess i don't watch enough TV! Between my re-reading of the asagi issue
and time on the board (KB) i usually pull myself away for lost or survivor!
Least now we know! Deadwood? sounds like a western!!!

Deadwood... that rings a bell... isn't that a western on one of those 'premium channels'?

Hafta dig up the TV listing sometime... naaa, rather go visit with the fish.

Don't blame you for rather spending time with the koi. It's the first thing I do when I return home from work. Right past the house out to the pond! I have a picture of my asagi posted on my computer.

thought it might be appropriate to post my 1,000th post here, in this thread!
