I guess I've been staring at photos too much. I see Japanese faces among the dealers I know I've seen before, but do not know who they are or where I've seen them.

What a lovely Kohaku in the large vat. Should I recognize her? The Kohaku with the maruten low on her face, how old? Nisai?

Amazing koi in those observation tanks.

some asian were out right crazy in that they 'show case' (not show off) their money by dumping it, which they believe reflects how easy it is for them to make money. I knew 2 asian neighbors in Hillsborough, CA, show casing their money by how cheap they can sell their brand new Mercedes. Life sucks if you get close to them.

Well, anyone who wants to "showcase" their success by selling high grade koi cheaply is welcome to move next door! ... Actually, I wouldn't mind having them next door and keep their fish, as long as I could visit occasionally.

Stan, when I was at the Momotaro Auction last Sept and saw Mr. Chen handle fish with his solid gold rolex with diamonds I knew this guy has money...But I had to admit these guys are truely humble. It's all about family there and I loved it!!! Damn I wish I could have gone...
