A few months ago I spent the day with breeder from Niigata. The question of pricing was brought up as if they would be inflated or not. He had said that the prices will remain the same and said for the reason of long term business goals not short term. In other words the breeders look to make money long term not short term as many of us are accustomed to.

Also remember that as the yen becomes stronger the prices of koi also rise so you always have to keep this in mind.

As the breeder culls, is his thought to be more forgiving to what is being held back. I know that they have to hit the so called quota in what is to be sold and what is to be held back..But are alot of junk goin to be thrown in the river or sold off...American dealers bread and butter is and will always be tosai....
