Water Parameters
Hi everyone,My pond has been running for almost a year. The ammonia has been 0, but the nitrate has always been .3 and the nitrate has always been 5. Are these normal? Thank you for your input/opinions.John

NitrIte at .3 speaks to some problem with filter (maybe undersized) but NitrAte at 5 is fine.

Maurice described a similar situation somewhere in the last few months. Do you get a zero reading on tap water?

Jason - I may need to add more media.

Steve - I did not test the tap water for nitrite and nitrate. I will do that.
