Interested in some KOI2KICHI reviews

All,

Interested in some good honest feedback concerning KOI2KICHI as a reference manual for locating/finding breeders in Japan or in any other subject. I will definitely get the book, but really am interested in whether the maps provided would be helpful for someone like myself (going to live in Japan)to get around and pinpoint some of Mr. Waddington's recommendations.

I have seen the DVD and map and yeah like Dan has said I wish there more fish! But Also keep in mind that the DVD was pre-Quake so roads and such may not exist. But you will soon learn that there are many more breeders also along those main roads.

Also many roads that are hidden and hard to find. I was talking with Nigel Caddock on how hard it is to find Hosokai' farm with a laugh. Most of it turn here near such and such land mark.

You will have fun Akaisan on that adventrue.

Joe

DVD was great, took me back to places I'd once visited.

Why not get one of those portable DVD players, take the DVD with you then! You'll never get lost, unless the roads have completely disapeared.

KK2 is a good book, map, information, and story. it really is a "companion" to Koi Kichi "1". Meaning the information is not really "duplicated", but it is the "next further" step. A definate "must" buy for any serious koi keeper.

I have the map framed on our wall, and while it is useful, I am not sure it quite will do as a roadmap by itself to specific breeders. It might with alot of notetaking while watching the video. It is all there. I found it very "nostalgic" for me, with the past trips coming to mind, and then the knowledge that the earthquake had changed so many of these places.

Hope that helped.
