great new feature- auction, how bout a simple addition of a field for item location that is mandatory or the listing does not list? this way we know where the fish is and can have some idea on shipping, availability for local pickup, also a possible shipping calculator?

With the new ones posted, I'm enjoying visiting the site. I'm glad the Momotaro female tosai are in Britain. If they were in the U.S. I might not keep my will power for very long.

Well Mike,

I know for a fact that our US dealers taking part in the auction have Momotaro koi as well. Shall I drop them a line?

Aren't there enough temptations without encouraging people?

There are a half dozen or so dealers whose websites I visit somewhat regularly, and on each there is one koi I've mentally selected as the one I would get in a perfect world (and it is not usually one of the most expensive, most promoted koi). Two of those dealers are participating in the auction, one from the U.S. and one in Britain. As the auction gets established and use increases, I fear the temptation will truly become too much. My little private "game" may become too real!

Mike,
Genki Nishikigoi (USA) is one of 4 founding member dealers for TheKoiAuction,
and Genki has imported koi from Momotaro.
I bought couple of Momontaro koi from Genki and very happy with the
quality.

Both Genki and Keirin carry Momotaro koi. We just need to prod them to put them up for auction.

dinh: Genki has posted a nearly 23" Momotaro Kohaku. It really is too tempting. And, like always, Kevin has emphasized the less desirable traits as well as the strong points. No such thing as a perfect koi, and his honesty lets you know you can rely on the positives being as good as he says. One of the truly good guys in this hobby.

Mike, I see this koi in person. It is much better than in the picture.

Just wondering why not so may koi in this website auction comparing
to other auction sites? There are only two for auction now ;-))
