This gets more complicated by the minute. Now I have to put cold brew in the budget and get Maeda over to roast some meat!

I like times at the show when koi keepers can get together and compare notes. That could be seminars, the banquet, even standing around the tanks and talking to people more experienced, and newer, to the hobby.

My tategoi eyes are bad enough without beer goggles....and the addition of pocket trout dancing around is getting scary Dancing men trip over air hoses, you know...doesn't sound safe for Nishikigoi at all......

Great I think I am ready to put a how together. All I gott have is imported beer and some MGD Sounds like the education seminars are winning in this. I am suprised that nobody cares if a Japanese breeder would be best to handle and bench koi.

I wanna know how to get those ringers out of the ponds and into a show tank. I have been to Japan enough to see who is buying what.

Need more Ideas...

In all seriousness.....seminars would be a draw for me, for sure. In this area, a strong group of vendors with good koi for sale would draw folks in, but same people may not have any koi to show at the show (unless they just bought them .) May be a left field thought, but a stronger media presence / exposure may draw some types of people out. Find reasons why people don't show their koi and work from there. Is it because of concerns about transportation stressing out prize fish for "local" show? Probably several different factors at play...
