Maruyama Kohakus ?

Any comments on these Maruyama Kohakus at one of local koi
dealers here in NorCal. They are same size (12").

I would like to purchase one of them. Your comments are greatly
appreciated.

Thx --Dinh

Hi Dinh, also saw ur other thread on hosokai kohak. It seems u are on the look out for a piece of kohak . Imho better choose maruyama than hosokai espcially if you havent got a chance to raise maruyama kohak before. You can check their site to see pix of their fish and its characteristic. Its http://www.kagura-beni.jp/2003-12.htm. I dont any affiliation wt this farm just want to express my opinion only.

These Kohak have the Kagura bloodline, the deep scarlet beni, the maruzome kiwa. I like the maruten 3 step in the bowl, but all are good.

Thanks Paul - Yes, I am looking for a Kohaku. Seems my pond has
a room for one more after I replaced the old pump. Very much want
to get one over the 4th of July weekend.

It seems to me that people in this forum have strong knowledge
of koi that why I post for opinions and hope to get good comments.

I like the 3 step to the left of the maruten 3 step in the 1st picture. Fantastic sashi in the first step and kiwa on the first step. I also like the shape of beni. Odome a bit skinny and lack a nice tail break in my humble opinion but a nice fish overall.

My 2cents worth.

Hi, Maruyama kohaku has nice beni. Here is one of them I bought few weeks ago. 28cm at point of purchase. Should have put on weight now.

(sorry dinh, I made use of your thread to show the maruyama. I like their kohaku)
