Purchased the Kichi Feeder

I ended up purchasing the Kichi feeder - delivered to Canada in less than 1 week. Now I just have to get my koi to pull the string. They bite at it but so far no one has got a good enough hold on it to pull it. Any suggestions??

By the time you get this post your koi probably already figured out how to get the food...

If not, adjust the counterweight screw so that it's at the end of the threads away from the head... This will set the tension on the trap door so that is almost in equilibrium and will open easier... Is also adviseable to put some lock tite on the machine screw to lock the threads, if you don't have any, you can use waterproof glue...

Aloha! Mike

Adjust to shortest pull length worked for me.

I coated the lure with paste food to begin with and that did the trick after 5 or 6 bites.

Now only one fish pulls it tho'. Odd to me, but all the other fish seem to have designated her as the puller. They know when she is doing it and stick around to watch for the pellets falling.

I am not in a rush to do this as I am in the middle of extending my house, and I am usually home at noon checking the progress, and yes, feeding the kois.
