I agree; I like that one, too! For some reason or other, the last few fish I've acquired have that type of sumi, almost a kage (sp?). If it doesn't "come up" and stays like that, I think I'd be happy. It would make for a very interesting fish. I still haven't developed the patience required for sumi; I want to see it NOW, not in three years. And I want it to still BE there in three years, too!

Besides, it has a great pattern, too. I'd certainly make room in my pond for it! Nice feeshies, Joe!

My First thoughts are the one on the left facing upwards. The body looks good to my inexperianced eye and seems to have a large head which i believe leads to growth. Then the Sumi looks very heavy - is this finished?

The other that caught my eye was the one on the bottom left facing left. The sumi looks like it has more to do and could develop better over a longer period of time.

Am i right? Would like you all to correct me and point me in the right direction as i am tryign to improve my Koi appreciation.

Cheers,

Whoever took those pics had to be a professional... Well anyways, when choosing Omosako Shiro's we got to ask ourselfs which phase to buy them at...Some say very kage"tategoi" or very finished? Honestly the Shiro's that are very "kage" are very expensive....

not bad for the 15+ hours in a box...
