If you had only one choice.......Koi Buying trip

If you had only one choice of area in Japan for Koi Buying trip only...

What area would you go to???

Niigata??
Isawa/Hiroshima??
Southern Japan??

Just Curious as I had this on my mind on my morning run and also cause Japan is abou 2 months away...

Remember only 1 area... of course you could extend this by saying why you would go there or what breeders you would visit as well..

I'd go see toshio sakai in isawa.

Not because there aren't other fine breeders. It's just he and i have a history, I respect what he's done with his program and look forward to renewing old aquaintances.

Niigata, would be 1st choice, I want to go back and see what last years devistation has done to change one of the most beautiful places in the world, that I have had the opportunity to see. My 1st choice for breeder there would be Marudo, he is a very remarkable person. Whom we have enjoyed getting to know over the past few years.

I agree with Dick...Toshio Sakai, Isawa, is my "one stop shop" for similar reasons....

Southern Japan definitely!!! Would like to go to Mecca(Niigata), but dont know whats there. Southern Japan, Momotaro, Sakai Hiroshima, Omosako, Ogawa, Narita, Takeda, Takigawa...etc....I'll visit Niigata when everything is all good....But Momotaro would be my first stop, those are my boys and the BBQ is the best.

For my first choice is Southern Japan. My plan is to go with Champion Koi, I hope that we can visit all breeders in a week.
