How do you plumb in Red Devil pond pump?

If you are reading this, can you tell me how you plumb this into your system? Just received the Red Devil 16,000 two days ago, and want to swap the noisy Sequence 1/4+ with this new pump (135watts). But not sure how to hook it up to the sequence strainer basket, and then to the Bakki Showers. Can you help?
I need to hook it to the strainer basket as the pond is outdoors, and pump is connected direct to bottom drain.

Bunyip, the Red Devil pumps have 32mm inlet and outlet. The normal way round this is to use a bush to increase the pipe size to suit your needs.

I'm sure you purchased the pump from SKS, if so Andrew can supply suitable bushes, but if not, I can turn bushes for you on my lathe.

With the 14,000, I go straight to a 1 1/2" union, then up directly to 2" pipe. A 2" union is too large to fit and still be able to access the impeller housing bolts.
I'm not sure of the body size of the 16,000, you may be able to use 2" unions.

Best method to incorporate a leaf basket in to fit one inline, on the suction side of the pump. Your Sequence basket will do the job, if I remember, they have an 1 1/2" female thread both ends.

Also, if the 14,000 model pumps 2400gph for 127watts, wonder what the 16,000 model would pump for 135 watts. Maybe 2700-2800GPH? That is for a Bakki shower setup, which would make if really frugal in energy costs compared to most pumps. Hope someone like Mike or Maurice will be getting this pump and testing the output for us (especially Bakki shower users).

Bunyip, the Red Devil pumps tend to run a good bit under the manufacturer's stated figures. I know this sounds unbelievable, but this is true. My 14,000 is running at 95 watts.

Yes, the connections are solvent weld.
