Koi America 2005: Pics of winners

After waiting a while for the GC pic, I'm out of patience . I finally found myself pics of the GC and other winners. These pics I stole from NI and Koiphen forums. Thanks for folks who posted those pics. I would like to share these winners's photos in this forum for whoever dies to see the GC.
thanks

I don't know exactly the size, but she's definitely bigger than 30'.

30' as in feet??WOW! Are you sure it was a koi?Just kidding. I am a kohaku lover too. I especially like three or four step with blood red coloring and nice definition. I prefer definition over particular pattern.

Anyone else have kohaku pictures?

Thanks,
#1 post GC kohaku is far left 34" or 68cm. wonderful koi
#2 post ;The showa is 34" or 86 cm. The kohaku is 27" or 68 cm. Nice, the 2004 All Japan GC kohaku was 90 cm. to give you an idea of size as well.

Let me correct some confusion. The GC was the Kohaku to the left in the first group of photos posted. She has a dark dot on her shoulder in the Hi. (I heard a couple of explanations about that and would be interested in what the Japanese judges actually said about it.)

The maruten Kohaku was in the same tank as the Jumbo Award winning Showa. (Both owned by the Lembkes.) I think it was the Showa that was 34"? The maruten Kohaku received the mature award(?), but most notably, was selected for the Tategoi Award. Basically, she came in third in the Show, but was seen as the one that could come back to win in the future.

Mike,
I thought the dark dot on the Hi of the GC would distract the judges. Maybe, as you said, the Japanese judge found it as an good excuse to pick her as a GC.
