Lets see if I can get Nancy to post her goromo. I think in time she's will be real nice. No, I think she needs to sell it off to me. Frank almost did move it out for good. Well Nancy show use yours, that's your goromo. LOL

Hi Kamisuri, will give it a go. Pattern only opinion without considering body shape for the sake ok kiss. Delicate pattern as seen on small koi doesn't proportion well on large koi frame so 7, 8, 9, 10 out. I would pick 1,2 same? than 5, 6, 3, 4. Nice!

I have seen toshio's stealth tosai and nissai of these. This is a great fish pictured but there are more and better ones coming down the line.

This is my wife's favorite koi. I put up with them because they started with asagi bloodlines to develop the ai-goromo and then others.(LOL)

I'm not a real fan of sumi goromo, but love a good ai or budo

As a tosai do you look for a light colored one or dark colored one. It seem like the darker ones just get darker.

Thank you to all of you for your replies. The certain requirements for a goromo are starting to sink in. Its a whole new learning curve for me and I appreciate the comments and help.

These are, from what I can tell from the photos, Sumi-Goromo. As such, and being tosai, they are all well to dark to be show specimen.

Goromo darken as they age, except some Ai-Goromo specimen, so one must select them with care.

I do like a nice Goromo. Three years ago I purchased two specimen from Sakai-Hiroshima. Although they ave incredible shiro, both are turning shiro muji after 3 years.

Things to ponder about.
