Well the best time to arrive is around 5 or 6pm, get cleaned up and head for Nomole's.

If you time things wrong, you have to go view some koi first before the evening entertainments.

A dream part of the world, I just hope it has some of it's magic left for use selfish Westerners to soak up.

I hope our freinds in the mountains of Niigata are able to regain their hold on nature.

Maurice.

PS, I'll be in the mountains the last week in October.

I had to replan at short notice last year ( due to you know what), but I'm looking forward to going back this year.

Aquitori, you fly in from SFO so you arrive Narita 3-4 ish pm then jump on the Shinkansen towards Niigata after a few transfers. If in Nagaoka then its time to eat. and hit the sack. If in Ojiya you jsut want to sleep.

I usually am in Ojiya so I crash out.. WHen leaving the hotel we can pretty ,much be at Hajime ISA's in 5 minutes.. A must stop as always.. I prefer really to head up in the mountains to the breeders. I dunno this year though as some places you are required a permit.

Anyhow its best relax and enjoy that you are in the homeland and many breeders to visit..

Joe
