Hard red spots

Can someone please help me with this? My koi in the mud pond alot of them have small red hard spots on their fins, I have not noted any on the body of the koi's. My first thought was ulcers but no spots are on the body,s of the koi. I have checked koi vet and cant find what the problem is and what to do about this. How do you treat a mud pond? Can I salt a mud pond and if so will the salt go into the ground and not become a problem later on?

On the fins.. Hard to guess without pics.. But I will ask you what you are feeding?

Tetra koi pond food. I hope I am not overfeeding. I feed once a day and thought that would be ok. but I have been told to feed only twice a week. Should I do this with my fry?

when seeing color spots in fins.. Color enhancers set my Alarm off.. I prolly am wrong but just a thought..
