Glass cleaner,...

Luke,... prop your eyelids open with toothpicks, and squirt some Windex in each eye. What are you talking about? Sanke? Explain. The close-up I posted is also of Kohaku #1.

Best Wishes,
Brady

Nice koi Brady and I am green, I only hope to do as well with my breeding as you have. jWish I could come to fall harvest and get to lay my eyes on the koi coming from the mud ponds, it would be so much fun. When in Oct do you plan to start the harvest?

Brady, My only pc is an old laptop..often the screen has shown me "hidden" sumi....I think with your professional background you can understand how that might happen.
I figure it is a longshot, but hey if it does show some sumi in a year or two I expect you'll wanna swap this ol laptop for some serious koi....huh?

This ol laptop might be "The (maybe) REAL Brady Time Machine"

Brady

I was thinking of your sale all weekend and wishing that my pond was done so that I could put a couple of those beauties that you have in the pond. Wonderful fish - love the sumi, love the shiro! Great job

Thanks for sharing,

Rick

Harvesting,...

Thanks very much Koi Pals, harvesting is always a tense and exciting time of the year. You plan, sceme, work hard doing all this "stuff", snuffing out fires, adjusting, throwing food into holes of water,... see something come up and eat it,... wonder what it is,... then, at harvest time you finally get a close look at what you've sweated and fretted over for the past 4 to 6 months. Sometimes you're elated, and sometimes you're broken. Now I'll do some more of that till the end of October.

Luke,... I'll have to send you pics of all Sanke fry and we'll run them through your old laptop PC and use it for culling. Can it handle a hundred thousand hi-res pics?

Best Wishes,
Brady

Thanks for posting Brady!

Just last night I was watching the new issue of the Koi Fixx DVD, looking at the feature aboiut sorting tosai at your farm. Very interesting and educational. You do a great job with your videos.

My friend Randy & I had a great time last October when we came down to North Carolina to help you harvest your last 3 ponds with larger fish. What fun! We are going to try to come back again this year if you'll have us.

For those of you that might like to see Brady's koi farm, here is a link to several pictures I posted of our harvesting adventure at Brady's last October.
