Tom, I would be glad to email you as to how I would have handled this situation.

Aquitoro - it is good to see that not only can you speak for Brian on many occasions, but you can also speak for "most of the Bay Area Dealers" you never cease to amaze us!

Hey Chris - can I borrow your quote

as with so much of the hobby....
too strong an opinion is formed from too little information.....The life of a "Public Hobbyist" is short...either the koi die, the trophies don't clutter the mantle quick enough, the nonsense from other hobbyists....
I'll even accept that the "Normal Hobbyists' Life Cycle" is inherently short because of the non-interactivity of Fish...which some refer to as their pets.
What ever the reason it makes a flash in the pan seem like a long-standing tradition, or an icon in the hobby....
The Koi Hobby hasn't settled in any regard. NO aspect is stable....this rapid life and death, quick turnover,.... makes icons out of onetime wonders and demons of people who make a couple of mistakes in their lifetimes....
Amazing for a fish that lives......150 years (YES! One-Hundred-Fifty years! I read it on the internet.)

Tom C......

Would you like to know how I would have handled it?

Of course, I am a simple hobbyest....with a tad bit of business experience and a tad bit of engineering/construction knowledge.

It's an unfortunate truth that the squeaky wheel tends to get the oil.. "the customer is always right" usually means the most obnoxious behaviors are the ones which get the quickest resolution.

Is that another one of your grandma's oh so wise statements, Valarc? Yes, another one you seem to subscribe to quite well. I guess obnoxious is in based on some of the other posts you have made on this site.

Hopefully, you will include some comment about, hmmmm, maybe PUMPS somewhere in this string?

HI guys

I dont know anything about Wlim his pumps or dealers in the bay area dont know Tim and I think I have conversed with steve on the bakki thread on koiphen.

Its true the customer is not always right but he is not always wrong either. The dragon pumps could have a fault that cannot entirely be blamed on william.

My two cents is the fire in the kitchen is already pretty big there is no point adding oil to the fire if you aint directly involved. So Val why dont you give this thead a skip and let those involved sort it out. No need to go fight every forum match

I dont think SCVkoiboy has much to gain posting his experience with the dragon pump besides getting the end consume satisfaction of getting something that works for what he pay for.
