What is this?

I was surfing the other boards on and found this....

Koi Bito Magazine Discount for Koiphen Members!
Brian has offered to reduce the subscription price from $88 to $80 for Koiphen members. It is a very fine read folks. If there is any interest let us know, Koiphen will make it simple for you.

Now I dont know if this deal is for that other site members only or what, but it sounds to be good for just that one site to have. Well anyways, I thought I would just share with you guys since I am neither a loyal member to any website forum.

Chris,

Tim contacted me and offered to do a subscription drive to help support the magazine. A one-time deal with no strings attached, and a genuinely gracious offer. Nothing sinister from either my side or theirs.

I would make the offer good to any organization that could collect subscriptions and payments in bulk and then forward the payment on to me in a single transaction. I save money in fees this way, and I'm happy to pass them on.

Keep in mind that since I started the magazine, the US dollar has lost 30% of it's value. I can't be held responsible for Mr. Greenspan's foibles!

Okay...any volunteers to collect funds then? I'll make this offer good for any one that wants to sponsor the same sort of subscription drive.

Since you have had delivery problems in the past it would be a good idea, I guess, to have a distributor states side to receive the mags in bulk and let them dole them out. Your major asset is the edit, paper and print quality correct? I don't know how you would handle the dollar exchange fluctuations, average it out some how.

I have not received the latest issue of koi-bito. I'm being patient but I have run out of stuff to read.

When was the first Koi-Bito magazine? The yen to dollar exchange rate is about the same as it was 12 months ago but has been sliding. The dollar dipped 8% at one point in that time line.
