Koi health

There are several competent dealers in San Jose who can help with identification and health evaluation. Cherry Hill is one of them.

Another, up the Peninsula is 'Got Koi'. Ask for Noreen; she's one of the best at health issues.

I would suggest taking pictures of your koi then bringing the pictures to a dealer or club so they can identify what they are. This is the easiest way of identify your fish without the hassel of transporting them to a dealers shop.

SF koi club

go to www.sfbakc.org. That's the web site of the local koi club. It will tell you how to get to the next meeting(in Hayward). Don't bring your koi, pictures will be more than enough.

I would call the dealer first before bringing them in. I don't think most dealers would be happy seeing koi come in their shop for bio security reasons.

If you want an ID just post the pictures here.

Fuzz, the good thing about living here in the Bay Area there are alot of dealers you can visit and clubs to support your hobby. I suggest taking a weekend and doing a day trip to cheack all the dealers here...Anyways, there is this forum to come to learn something.
