Any KB member here in Singapore or Chennai?

Hi folks,

Login from Free Internet at Changi, Singapore airport. See a large pond with many quality Kois in middle of the International terminal area. It has few Kohakus and sanke, but a lot of Shiro Utsuri. Just wondering if there is any KB memebers here. Since I will be back here over the weekend, just want to know if there is any local koi dealers here? If the Airport has Koi, it must be some dealers here;-))

Also, will be travelling to Chennai, India tomorrow for couple days. Wondering if there is any KB member in Chennai too?

Regards,
--Dinh

there are quite a number of hobbyists here that come from Spore.
i used to stay there, but now i'm in indonesia.
there has been koi pond(s) in CHangi since many, many years ago (15??). too bad it's a bit shallow, but it serves its function.

Zion Koi, Summer Koi, and Max Koi Farm are 3 of the dealers there that i frequent when i'm in town. koi sales are said to be slow there these days compared to a the booming period up to 2 years ago. but these dealers are still very good places to visit and always have stock of good koi to see.

yes logistically Summer Koi is the easiest to get to, but imho Zion and Max have more impressive establishments. i'd suggest to rent a cab by the hour to get to the latter 2 places though cause they're pretty far from the city. on the plus side, they're very near each other so you can visit 2 places in the same day. Max's mobile number is 96606363 and Tjo's (Zion) is 91874588 should you need directions. Summer Koi is owned by the Toh brothers, you can call Toh Kok Aan at 98269343. all 3 of them are nice guys and know me pretty well (you can mention my name, Joy from Indonesia, if you like).

Great! Thanks for the numbers - Yes, I will get a cab for sure. Did you see the pond at the Changi airport? Very beautiful indoor pond.
