This thread has been an interesting one,... please ALL keep in mind what "I" personally have said on this subject. "The details haven't been worked out yet",... despite what you have heard or read.
I have no interest in my farm receiving "bad press" for what was/is a good cause. I have agreed to donate a "very nice and large" Koi to be auctioned off to support the KoiPhen Koi show - what I see as a gesture to support KOI SHOWS in general!
This fish is in one of my mud ponds here at my farm, and won't come up until late October! A Koi that is just up from the mud IS NOT IN SHOW CONDITION! Most Koi just harvested need months of conditioning for a show, to purge the mud from the system, flush the white ground, and fine tune the red and black. ALSO,... a Koi that leaves my farm is NOT coming back! That's part of my Bio-Security here,.. and it's strict!
This should put everything in perspective. Any other questions, please feel free to ask,... I'm more than happy to answer.
Yes, an American born Grand Champion is coming soon,... it won't be Charlotte, NC though, it may not be from my farm,... may be Texas, Louisiana, New Jersey, California, Washington State,... possibly even Arkansas

,... but it is coming soon.
Naysayers and sceptics can have their list of excuses ready,... we'll wear this one out then we'll move on to the 1 meter GC.
Best Wishes,
Brady Brandwood
