posting pics on koiphen forums does nothing for most of us, we have almost all been banned. Why would anyone go to a show that jerk is putting on?

If you can post the actual pic I would love to see brady's work.

The Showa Brady's talking about I sumize has never been seen by anyone except by him. The picture of the two showas of S.H. looks over exposed and hard to see what they look like. The Brady showa, USA, is now a lanky 30" long yonsai and everybody knows what she looks like. Shes in the sixth koi magazine in 18 months. You can see her in the latest issue of Koi America.

Hey!

This is a good natured joke. Cool, Stephen. But I don't believe that either Iowa or Arkansas (See Brady's joke) are leaders in the running for domestic GC. The backyard boy with the mullet head ain't even thinkin about it. (I know there are others in Iowa, no offense.)

If I ever get to see this kohak again I will dig it again. Boy named Sue and a girl named Sarge. There was so much more that I wanted to learn from this fish, but...

Cool info, I think I have a magazine somewhere it was owned by some Japanese Hobbyist...but I could be wrong. The Kohak is really nice, needs more girth to her. The pattern is not your typically SFF pattern show placing fish looks more Torazo...Well anyways, great Kohak none the less.

Yeah, Im worried that If I take my koi to a show, somebody will mistake them for dinner

Somebody needs a shave and a haircut, but it sure aint the mullet boy.... Mabye this Chagoi could use a trim for its mustashe Must be the close proximity to the DAEC Nuke plant that makes my koi so unique

I hope this clarifies your question.
Aquitori,

Thank you for your answer. Does your post mean “Kohak” is American slang for the Japanese word Kohaku?

There are three ways of writing Japanese, Kanji, Kana, and Römaji*

The Kanji for Kohaku are romanized as ko and haku, There is no way to alter the kanji to read “Kohak”. Kana (Hiragana and Katakana) are syllables (48) that include ko, ha, and ku but there is no kana for “k”. Romaji are the Kana syllables as written using the Roman alphabet, therefore “Kohak” isn’t a Japanese word. Whether the final u is pronounced or not, the correct Römaji spelling of the Japanese word for a red and white koi is that which is commonly used in books, the internet, etc., i.e. Kohaku.

*Follows the rules of “Römaji no tsuzurikata” by the Japanese Government.

Arekkusu (Alex),
